What is tailored sustainability advice?
You want to make your home more sustainable — but where do you start, and what really pays off? Tailored advice (in Dutch: maatwerkadvies) answers exactly that. It is a written report specific to your home: which measures make the most sense, what they cost, how much you save, how quickly you recoup the investment and which subsidies you can apply for. Not generic tips, but a concrete plan you can act on straight away.
The advice is drawn up by a BRL 9500-certified advisor who inspects your home thoroughly. Because we do not sell insulation, windows or installations ourselves, our advice is fully independent — focused only on what delivers the best return for your home.
Tailored advice or the free advice with the energy label?
With every energy label we provide, you already receive free improvement tips during the inspection. Tailored advice goes far beyond that. You receive a detailed, written report you can budget, plan and use to apply for subsidies:
| Free advice with the label | Tailored advice | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Verbal tips during the inspection | Detailed written report |
| Measures | General | Concrete, per part of the home |
| Cost & savings | Indicative | Calculated per measure, with payback time |
| Subsidies | – | Which subsidies/loans apply |
| Order | – | A smart roadmap: what first, what later |
What is in your tailored advice?
After the home inspection you receive a clear report including:
- The current situation — how your home performs energetically and the corresponding energy label.
- Concrete measures per part — roof, facade and floor insulation, HR++ or triple glazing, boiler, (hybrid) heat pump, ventilation and solar panels.
- Cost, savings and payback time — per measure an indication of the investment, the annual saving on your energy bill and how quickly it pays off.
- CO₂ reduction and expected new label — what the measures together deliver for your consumption and your energy label.
- Subsidies and financing — which national (e.g. the ISDE) and municipal schemes apply.
- A smart roadmap — the best order to make your home more sustainable, so each step builds logically on the last.
Who is tailored advice for?
- Homeowners who want to improve their home step by step without rushed choices.
- Anyone planning a renovation who wants to do it right the first time.
- Anyone who has bought a home and wants to know where the biggest gains are.
- Anyone applying for a subsidy that benefits from or requires a substantiated advice.
- Owners' associations and homeowners with a high energy bill who want to get a grip on their consumption.
How it works
- Request & intake. Request the advice via the contact form or by phone. We briefly discuss your home, your wishes and your budget.
- Home inspection. Our BRL 9500-certified advisor fully surveys the home: insulation, glazing, installations and ventilation, following the NTA 8800 standard.
- You receive the report. Shortly after the inspection you receive the written report with measures, cost, savings, payback time and subsidies.
- Optional: help with next steps. Questions about implementation or a subsidy application? We are happy to think along.
What does tailored advice cost?
The price is on request, because the scope differs per home — a compact terraced house takes less work than a large detached house or a monument. If you have the advice done together with an energy label inspection, it is usually more affordable, because we survey the home in a single visit.
